I have a '90 325is and the exhaust has been a little on the hot side lately. i noticed about a month and a half ago that after coming off the high way my exhaust gets very hot. Like once I park the car you see maddddd steam, and when a nice breeze goes under the car then it looks like I am boiling water. its runs fine, what could be the problem??? (pinky in mouth)

I would say it's burning to much fuel or you have a cooling issue. Have you checked your thermostat temp?Put that in your pipe and smoke it! -
How old is your cat? Does the car feel down on power?
