    JB Weld?

Stupid question maybe, but does JB weld work on exhaust pipes? Or is there something like it for the exhaust? I have this tiny hairline crack in my muffler that is just bugging the hell out of me.

Probably easier this way, plus the 2 shops around here that do exhausts are rediculous.

Jordan, it's Industro weld, or something, right?

I picked up a tube of exhaust cement a couple of weeks ago when I replaced my driveshaft. My muffler had a couple of cracks in it where the pipes entered it that were making the car sound like crap so I figured I might as well give this a shot before replacing it entirely. Turns out that it was a pretty good investment of $5. I just cleaned the area thoroughly with a wire bristle brush, wet the area slightly per directions and squeezed it on. I worked it into the cracks a bit just to be sure. They recommend letting it dry for a couple of hours before starting the car but it ended up being the next week before I finished the job anyway. So far there's no sign of the cracks expanding or of this stuff blowing out...

The stuff I got was hanging on a rack next to the exhaust patches at the local AutoZone.
