So I just had a brand new OE exhaust installed on my car. Damn, that thing is quiet. It's like driving a Cadillac.
I can't complain about having a brand new exhaust, but I do miss the sound of my old one. I have no idea what it was, it was installed by the PO. One mechanic said it was a meineke muffler. It was a single tip. Anyway, it was rusted to the high heavens, and had a big giant hole in it, the size of Andre the Giant's dick.
But I loved the sound. After the patch fell off the hole, it was a little too loud. But before the patch fell off, it had a nice deep throaty note, and responded very enthusiastically when hitting the gas. upon decelerating, it would spit a little. It wasn't snarly, or obnoxious like those fart cans on civics. It was classy and just right.
Anyway, I'm looking for some suggestions for future reference for inexpensive, classy sounding aftermarket exhausts.
I just had the OE put on, and it's brand new, so I'm not getting rid for it for a long long time. But would like to know what to look for in the future.
Thanks
