318is m42 is too damn loud

I picked up a gorgeous 318is a little while back. I hate the exhaust, it looks like it's a dynomax exhaust welded on after the stock resonator. It's loud and obnoxious with a fart can sound and a heavy drone on the highway. I'm looking for something sub $300, and quiet.

I've got a friend with a bimmer shop who can get me an oem resonator and can for about $200 all in. I can weld very well so I'm not bothered by install costs.

Any other suggestions? I'm just looking for something quiet with a deeper tone. I don't know about you guys, but to me the best sound a 318 makes is a revved out valvetrain, and I want to hear it.

Stock resonator and muffler for about $200? I would be skeptical. Blunt set me up with a real OEM Eberspacher muffler and it came in at just under $300.

I could be off on the price a bit, it may be $200 for the muffler no resonator. How do you like the sound?

Cat>20" glasspack>magnaflow. I used #11265, but the bigger the muffler the quieter it will be. It was still kinda loud, but not obnoxious.
