    The headers I received needed to have the pipes cut after the collectors AND the engine mount removed prior to installation

    Just to clarify;

    The headers would work if you installed them before the engine mount arms?

    I had to cut off the section past the collectors, that was crashing into the floorboard. Mount is fine. Might develop some rust in 10 years but by then I'll have an S52 in there anyway.

    OP;
    Did you consider cutting the exhaust flange to separate the two portions to give you more room to work with each piece? Most I looked at come in two pieces.
    It may have givin you the clearance to get them into place without cutting your mount(ugly).

    Although that wouldn't have addressed the floor issue.

    Being hand made unfortunitly lends itself to slight angle miss calculations that put things where they arent supposed to be

    Spend the $$$ on a high flow Cat and muffler, Look at Ireland Engineering, they had so much trouble with thier long Chineze headers they quit selling them. There's a reason there $150.

    cx racing headers are Shit. i have the turbo manifold and it had some minor issues. luckily all i had to do was torch it and bend it a little to clear my oil cooler lines. and thank god i got lucky and my down pipe is spot on, but i do hear this is rarely the case. i knew what i was getting into but i'm poor and got lucky anyways.

    your motor mount will fall apart as it is. id fab a little chunk of steel and scarf it in there with some fatty welds.

    good luck homie

    sorry to bump this old thread, but this is the truth. i just installed a set of similar ebay headers and am EXTREMELY disappointed with everything. everything. they look nice, but they have many underlying problems: not flush on head, close/touching oil cooler lines, removal of motor mount heat shield, janky connectors...and i really don't expect any power gain.

    Nah, the mount will be fine. I checked the cost beforehand and worst case scenario I spend $16.75 on a new mount. Might replace it just for the heck of it, but not necessary.

    I had already spent $250 on the headers (cost of part + planing). When you make a decision like this you have to consider the cost already invested. Dumping the headers would have lost me $250.

    Most importantly I needed something NOW before my neighbors started complaining. I can't sell these headers for anything, and can't afford $6-700 headers. So the choice was easy, and they work.

    How much have you spent, both money and time on these pieces of shit so far?

    I see at least $368, plus $30 or so for a used engine mount when that one fatigues out.
    They probably have shit for collectors, so your net gain will probably be negative.

    I think the bavauto ones cost $700, you're more than half way there.

    Dude that motor mount is pretty sketch. I would not have done that for 150 dollar ebay headers.
