    Just ordered my exhaust....

for those of you with a Stromung exhaust, what can I expect? I've done quite a bit of research as to which exhaust to buy, and all signs led to Stromung. I thought of doing custom work, but looking at prices and quality, I feel like I made a good purchase. Looking forward to slapping her on once she comes in!

      more vroom vroom noise!

your butt dyno might give you the impression of more power but i think the gains are negligible unless paired with other stuff.

I love my Stromung. When I first put it on it sounded like an '02 Camry. After a few miles it matured. Now it's great.

I'm definitely aware of the minimal (if any) gains, but it's like this...I needed a new exhaust, anyway. Rotted out and sounds like shit. So it was either I buy an OEM, or I go aftermarket. And I'm eventually gonna do a bit more to it (think chip, headers, etc.), so I'm hoping eventually the exhaust will do more than look and sound sexy!

but I figure at least until those things are done, my e30 will sound good!

Based on the group buy you can expect to wait a couple months for delivery.

I've heard that it takes some time, but I look at it this way...my e30 isn't my daily driver and I'm just one guy ordering one exhaust. For the group buy, there was what, 9 or 10 orders? That means Stromung has to build 9 or 10 exhausts right after one another to fulfill the order. Me, I'm ordering one and hopefully there aren't a crapload of simultaneous orders going through...if so, then what can I do but wait?!

Yeah it'll suck to not get it right away, but if me waiting means that I get a well-designed product that has no fitment issues, then yeah, I'll gladly wait. I want what I paid for.

Obviously once it's in and installed, I'll be posting some HD vids with my Droid X.

ON a side note, the girlfriend bought an '08 328xi on Saturday. Alpine white, xenons, cold weather package, black leather...thing is pretty g.d. gorgeous!

I think that was the best thing i ever spent good money on!! I still love it. I did buy it in a group buy and I did wait some, over all its worth the wait and EVERY PENNY.

hey guys, quick question. i want to do a glass pack to replace my muffler, leaving the cat in place, but do not want to get unwanted attention. think i'd be ok?
if i want performance should i also change up my headers?
                          thanks.

Do headders and save the glass pack for the ricers!!
Custom exhaust from the manifold, no cat, magnaflow muffler!!! Thats the way im going.
                            Thats just my 2cents.
