    Eliminate the Cat?

Is it a reasonable option to eliminate the cat in my 325iX? I live where no inspection is needed to register the car. I plan on keeping this car as my winter duty car for a long time. My exhaust system is in bad shape. What ideas do you folks have?

some people might flame you...but if it is trashed/clogged remove it...i did and i gained power up top with my m42, but lost some bottom end. who cares, sounds better bouncing off the r3v limiter anyway :)

Sell it to help finance new exhaust. Unfortunately they don't bring in too much $$ anymore.

I get $100 from the guy who comes to my house. Probably worth plenty more if I actually found the place he takes them. Too much work though! :)
