    So I failed emissions....

I have an 87 325is and the damn catalytic converter is pricey. Does anyone know if the Bavauto cat is a high flow unit, or oem replacment. I got a quote of $416 for a Bosal replacement and for a few dollars more it might be worth getting the bavauto cat. I haven't even checked to see how much a BMW cat is yet, I am sure it is nice and wallet draining. Is there any other options?

Have a muffler shop use a high flow cat and a couple of Ys to mate to the stock flanges. It'll probably run somewhere in the neighborhood of $150 parts & labor. It's the dual in/out that makes the stock replacements so expensive. Mine is a single in/out with a couple of Ys. It was done by the previous owner so I don't have an exact cost...

Just for shits I thought I would check out what an oem cat would cost. My cost is $1134.00. I just laughed and said thanks for the quote. I could probably buy a beater E30 for that amount!
