This setup on e30 with M50NV:

m52 stock headers -> Y pipe (dual to 2.5") -> 2.5" piping -> Magnaflow cat (94006 2.5" outlets on both ends) -> 2.5" piping -> ebay dual tipped muffler with 2.5" inlet

I just hope it would sound descent and not to raspy.

I could also add 24" resonator between cat and muffler if it would help...
