Stebro and B&B, though the B&B system is way too loud,
my Stebro has a deep idle, no droning, and starts to scream at
    4000 on up.

If I had an m20, i'd probably rock an IE w/ straight pipes
I'll agree with an EU early setup. Long tube EU down pipe no cats with just a muffler, it sounds great.

Did you have any fitment issues with the supersprint? I think I have read on here that people have issues with the IE catback.

I've installed 2 IE catbacks on separate cars and had no fitment issues. They bolt right up into stock hangars. The problem people have is getting the correct hangars for them. The top of the front and rear hangars is different. The bottoms are the same. Make sure you make that very clear with the person you order with. Patrick from BMA would be a good person. I've had dealers and a few other places try to tell me they are the same. They are not. If you get the correct hangars you will have no problems. You will want to replace the hangars becasue your old ones will probably be rusted.

On that note...I like my IE, but if I had the bucks to spend I would go Supersprint. You can find a sound clip of my exhaust under the product reviews (if the clip is still there). Both are not loud and obnoxious, but have great sound and are louder than stock.

I saw a 325i the other day with a hot looking, and sounding exhaust system...The car was just imported from Germany with a G-Power exhaust system...Google G-Power, they have all kinds of cool e30 stuff.

As far as my experience goes...

                Eiberspacher (OEM) >>>>too quiet

                Magnaflow w/y collector >>>>raunchy,too loud

                Tri-Flo >>>>even raunchier (is raunchier a word?)

                Flowmaster 2 chamber w/y collector >>>>perfect

I had a G-power quite some time ago... before some of you had licenses, They are nice pieces but damn they are too loud. Louder than any B&B trifow unit.

We are talking a ticket with one here in the states. Matter fact there is two on german ebay right now.

My Magnaflow dual-in dual-out is extraordinarily loud. So loud, that after a few months I'm switching back to a stock-type muffler for the peace and quiet. I'd like to hear my nice stereo and not lose brain cells every time I have to accelerate from 1500-3000rpm...it's just ridiculous. The only good parts about it are the crazy vicious sound on WOT past 4000rpm, and the fact that it sets off all the car alarms at work.

                      my exhaust:

y-pipe after cat into 2.5 piping into staight-through (single in single out) magnaflow muffler.

sound is deep and quiet at low rpms then really screams above 3500. it also has a slight raspiness to it, but i like that.

so far, i havent heard any e30s with exhausts in person besides mine so its the best to me.

heres a quick video i just went outside and took, ill use the good video camera tomorrow for better clip with better sound. and notice the smoking exhaust, its like 40deg outside. boo.

No one here running straight from cat? I have no rear muffler on my car right now. The stock muffler had six holes due to corission, and all the exaust was escaping in the other side holes. The two rears wern't expelling much. When the muffler came off, I shook the exaust, and all the innards came out. Good stuff.

Well anyway. Straightpipe from cat. Loud. But sounds good.
