    Magnaflow too damn loud for

Just installed the Magnaflow 14815 and it's way too loud for me..... it sounds sweet just not what I was looking for.

What other mufflers out there (besides oem) sound good but aren't so loud and aren't crazy expensive?? Someone should trade with me...:D

    What's your full exhaust setup?

If you're running straight 2.5", then try another muffler somewhere down the line. That'll quiet it down a lot.

    Do you have a cat/resonator?

Try an Ansa Exhaust. Its not that much louder than stock.

That ebay kit sounds nice and is quiet, much quieter than the Magnaflow.

sorry to bump this thread but I have a similar problem as the OP. I have the magnaflow 14815 and it is way too loud for me as a daily driver. It would sound awesome if it was for a dedicated track car. Besides the Dynaflow super turbo does anyone have any suggestions as to a muffler that won't break the bank? The ebay one was a little too quiet for me which is why I sold it and bought the magnaflow. Anyone try the megan racing dual muffler? http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...d=385&catid=21

I initially planned on adding a glasspack between the muffler and the cat but it doesn't seem like there's enough piping to fit a glasspack unless you take out most of the dual piping between the muffler and cat.

im in piscataway, nj near New Brunswick. My car's getting painted right now but should be done in the next few days if you wanted to hear it. Still trying to figure out what to do about the sound. I'm thinking of going to a custom exhaust place and see if they can rig me up with something. I'd love to do a full header-back exhaust but don't know what's out there that I could afford

I just ordered a megan racing muffler so we'll see how that sounds compared to the magnaflow. size is similar.

Magnaflow is loud on just about everything. I am running a Borla Pro XS on my s50 swap and it sounds great, not loud at all, and im catless too.
