    Cutout Valve

What do people think about exhaust cut out valves? Just for sound or does it give any gains?

    Here's some examples:

My friend has it on his JCW, best of both worlds. Go to the track and open it up, daily driving to work and back keep it closed.

Just pull your stock muffler and go for a drive, ANY 4 cycle motor will run stronger W/O a muffler. Cut outs for power have been arround 50+ years

Remus has a butterfly now to quiet down some of thier mufflers, we can't do dumps here due to emissions

Tracks are starting to get nuts on dB limits. Pretty useless if you ask me, but just my impression. Used to be common back from late 60's and and then in each muscle car revival. I had them on my 73 Mercury Capri that we stuck a 302 back in the 80's. Fun small car.
