Need some help with muffler and resonator

So we installed a Flowmaster Super 44 and the car is just as loud as it was with straight pipes. It's so loud at 1000-2000 rpm's you get a headache after 10 minutes. It's a stock M20 2.7 2" oem pipes all the way to the flowmaster.

Would it be a good investment to buy a resonator to replace the stock one?

What can I do to quiet this down?

Add another muffler and a cat. A big muffler.

Remus has a deal on some mufflers that is a round piece metal with 3/16-1/4" holes in it that can by turned so it catches the sound with the holes or turned to go straight through. Your in a tough spot, another resonator could help but it would need to be fully bafled to the sound
