Yet another exhaust question...

I have 91 318i m42...I just installed Dynomax Super Turbo muffler. It sounds great, nice deep rumble sound, NO tin can effect.
The only problem is - you guessed it - it is a little loud...at times.

-Idle sound is great, a little louder over stock.
-Low throttle acceleration is nice, a little louder than stock
-Mid to full throttle - a little annoyingly loud from 2k-4k RPM.
-Above 4k RPM - the note is nice and not too loud.
-Cruise is nice deep sound, a little loud for my tase

What I want to get:

-Quiter sound overall, idealy I want to keep the sound tone, but with a quiter note below 4k rpm and louder above 4k. I may get soundclip later (it is up, see the 3rd post with the linky to utube.

What is needed for this? Should I iget bigger resonator?

BTW: Header, cat and small glass pack looking thingy were on the the car from when I go it, mufflet had 2 butned holes in it, sounded very stock and quiet.

Yeah either add a resonator or replace current one with bigger.

I'm running a super turbo and a 12" Vibrant Resonator. It's still overly loud/droney at cruise RPM.

My E30 is M20 powered but the guy that did my exhaust for me ran a glass pack up front and magnaflow muffler. Sounds great.
