Looking for an aftermarket exhaust -- my current one has a huge hole in it. I'm looking for something that doesn't sound too loud and doesn't make a drone sound while in the car. I've read good things about Super Sprint and Borla. What options are there for the 2.7 platform?

Honestly your best bet is to have something custom made with a Borla/Magnaflow etc put on the end.
Otherwise you could always swap on a complete 325i exhaust system and get a catback for that!Comment

i have metalworking in school, and i was thinking about making an exhaust for my project. Would 2.5 inch piping work, considering stock is 2 inches, and i would want more air flow right? If i would get a magnaflow 14815, what would be a good cat/resonator to get.
Also i was thinking about deleting either the cat or the resonator, but which one would be better to get rid of because i know they produce back pressure, which is needed.
Sorry, not meaning to thread jack, just trying to get some answers for my eta's exhaust.
