    S52 OBDI one swap exhaust

    I know I wanna use ebay SS headers and the OEM mid pipe for my swap but what the hell should I use for the muffler. I really don't know if people go with an E36 muffler and E30 muffler. Does it even matter what car it's for? Anyone know of pre-made exhausts/mid pipes for this swap?

    we are working with Rogue Engineering to have a 24v e30 exhaust based on their e36 m3 set up. Several weeks away...

        It was my understanding that e36 full system will fit with some modification at a shop. minus the CABs unless you have eyeball bushings.

          Yes, this is absolutely true. I have E36 bits from the headers back. The problem with using E36 stuff is the mid section hangs quite low just after the sway bar and then tucks in moderately as it goes towards the back. If I were to do this all over again, I'd get a custom mid section and pair with a catback. I love my remus!!!

            Any updates on this by chance? I'm running an aftermarket e36 exhaust on my S52 swap and it sounds and flows great but the mid section hangs SUPER low and tries to scrape everything in town

                Great to hear this is moving along! I'm assuming this is going to be a true dual system with cats or resonators? Is there going to be an appropriately sized rogue muffler/catback offered or is this just a centre section?

                I've been pondering the idea of a custom 2.25 inch single pipe setup but from the clips I've seen on youtube, etc, the single pipe tends to be way louder and not sound nearly as good as duals on these cars. That said, it seems to be fairly cost effective.

                Is there a ballpark price range for this system in the works? Sorry for the barrage of questions.... Please keep us posted.....I'm super excited about this!

                    They're almost ready. I'm not entirely sure if its a true dual system but I know you'll be able to use an M20 catback.

                      Thanks for the info. As long as it fits well, flows well and sounds good I'll buy one. Are M20 catbacks not usually considered a bit restrictive for an S50/S52 swaps or is it mostly the skinny mid pipes that people try to upgrade?

                      Either way, if rogue is involved, I have faith it will be a quality part with good flow characteristics.

                        I just modified the factory mid and down pipes to tuck them closer to the car. Otherwise everything works completly oem.
