    Who has straight pipes?

Thinking about it with the Magnaflow muffler, the 1484858457483249 or whatever it's called. Is it too loud for daily driving? Not worth the risk?

I was running a test pipe and it sounded monstrous from idle to WOT. It is most definitely way to loud to be a daily driver. If you have never done it, try it. You most definitely won't be the most discreet car anywhere.

I drove my car with racelands, a cat and a blow through resonator. Unbearingly loud. I can't imagine having nothing to muffle the sound.

I drove my m50 swap with headers only and no hood from philly to nyc. It was awesome.

            I can vouch for this

But srsly don't do it it's the stupidest idea ever. You will like it for about 5 minutes then you realize you can't drive the car anywhere

I meant just straight pipes to the muffler no cats, I should have said so in the first place.

I might just run cut outs? I don't know, I just feel like it's not how I want it to sound. I have to fix a fat exhaust leak and I have to re do a lot of piping after the headers, I figured I'd do straight pipes all the way back to the muffler I am just curious on how it would sound. Trying to get more rasp sound, right now it's way too deep.

My e30 had glass packs only. IE LT headers, (technicly mid tubes) with no cats, true duals 2.25" pipe. Alot of rasp.... I cant say much for that muffler you want. But You live in Cali and drive an import, so idk if this is something you would want to do.

Straightpiped to Magnaflow glass pack sounds GREAT on an m42, so I would assume it would sound even better on an m20...

My last e30 had eBay long tubes to x pipe flowing through dual 2.25" pipes to straight through dual resonators....it was loud, scared everyone and set off alarms everywhere.

My m50 vert has a muffler, makes having a Convo in the car an option, compared to that first e30.

I'm straight piped to an IE muffler and its not obnoxious at all.
