    ^ or does the smog tech look at it and visually fail an aftermarket cat, whats the deal?

    Some smog techs are more strict than others. Where I go as long as the numbers pass, you pass.

        I have no cat, but my car isn't going to pass ANY smog. ;)

                Do you really think a semi-built turbocharged M20 would pass smog? LOL.
