    electric exhaust cutouts...

Thinking about getting some after I install long tube headers. Anyone have experience with these? Thinking 2.25 inchers; I'll most likely be running two of them since there are dual pipes all the way back. Kiiiinda expensive for the pair though. What brands are best and less prone to leaking? I'd hate to spend all that loot on a set of these things and they leak. Here's what I'm thinking about... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/QT...45CP/?rtype=10. Opinions?

I recently asked about cutouts and this was the response:

I decided that cutouts seems like they would sound cool but would be more of a hassle than they're worth. From my research I found that it's the electric motors that fail most of the time. Get valves that the motors can be easily replaced.

Yea, seen that post when I was browsing earlier. I plan to go turbo eventually, so the gains would eventually be worth it. What company makes valves with motors can be replaced easily?

I thought about going the cutout route for a while and eventually came to the conclusion that a manual cutout would be best. Cheaper and less prone to failure. I actually have a spare 325e TB and the ricer in me was tempted to turn it into an exhaust cutout. LOL.

I didn't get that far in my research of valves so I don't know. I just read that many people complained of the electric motors dying.
