    need help please

So i have a magnaflow muffler but its a 1 in 2 out kind where is the best place to put a y pipe?

at the end of the exhaust where its gonna connect to the muffler

    or
at the end of the cat and have a single pipe go all the way to the new muffler ?

the reason for this is i wanna know where it would be best to put it where it wont restrict air flow

    thanks alot you guys

What size inlet is the muffler, 2.5"? If it were me I would have the exhaust Y'd right after the cat and run single 2.5" back to the muffler. Any decent exhaust shop can make this, no need to buy a prefab'd Y pipe. Castros in North Hollywood does great work but I know it's far for you!

The other option, buy a dual in/dual out muffler. :)

No, it won't be an issue since it's going in to a 2.5" single pipe which is PLENTY for a 2.5L M20 engine.

I would get a flow master 2 in 2 out and run the true dual exhaust from your exhaust manifolds like your suppose to have, Im hoping you have an m20 or better, otherwise disregard what I said

Why is he "suppose to have" dual exhaust?
