Ok, so my plan down the road is to run a bit of boost through the little mill. Only, until I gather all the parts, I will be keeping it N/A so I can drive it around. I have the top end beefed up (still stock cam for the time being) and the bottom end is a 2.0L. I have a header for it, and it came with a 2.5" -> 2" adapter at the collector. The muffler I have is a 2.5" inlet. Will there be any adverse affects of running 2" piping to a 2"->2.5" adapter for the muffler? Or should I just get another muffler that is 2"?

i can't see why it would matter, your still reduing back pressure compared to a stock exaust, don't take my word for it though. im currently researching my own exaust system, take a look at this; http://www.mikekemper.com/elantra/diyexhaust/index.htmlOriginally posted by EarendilI listen to the band M20 almost exclusively these days. They have some mad tick beats, and without firewall insulation or an interior it's almost as good as watching M20 live. Sometimes when I'm really in a rocking mood, I crank the volume up to 6K. -
Thanks for that link, actually helped me out a bit. Will be sticking with 2" tubing after that read, and will keep the muffler I have nowComment
