    I have read EVERY god forsaken exhaust post on EVERY single e 30 forum
    and it looks like finally mine is ge ting instlld tomm(Thurs) ! I was hoping to get pre and post dyno pulls to end the age old controversy on what such an exhaust does re power , etc., but it looks like I may only get a post pull due to scheduling.
    I will try to post pics during fab/install........it will be, if plan goes: oe exhaust cut rear of our oe x pipe/brace and in frt of oe cat, then the oe duals will be y piped into a 2.5 " single system using a magnaflow ss hi flow cat then on back to a Borla 2.5" SS can. I bought 2 cans, if the smaller one turns out to be tooooo loud Ill put on the larger one. My goal is for a very aggressive sound and hopefully better flow...this is mainly for a DE car that is driven to tracks, some of which have db limits, but overall I want it louder than say an IE or Supersprint, BB,etc. I'm expecting costs incl. all parts to be under 600.....or thereabouts( I plan on using aluminized piping to save cash and because they last quite long on cars that dont see snow/salt). Looks, shine and bling factor were all unimportant, the more raw the look, the better

      exhaust....

      I was really antsy upon starting her up after install as I had no idea what my combo of cat/ can would sound like. I went kinda aggressive w/ a smallish MF cat( like 10 inches long) and Borla can(@13" long).........and I must say I was amazed and a bit bummed as it is very very subdued and no more than say 20 % louder than stock(at least my stock).....numbers based on my subjective ear/butt dyno. It does not sound as "tuned" as the IE or SS units Ive heard...its more raw.



      It has a mild burble on lift off( I like that) and a mild raspiness/gurgle on initial throttle; at WOT especially above 4500 it has a bit of a wail( me likey) but not overly. Only resonance is mild, and its happening on my rear parcel shelf...no biggie, and it not being a DD I could not care less.




      Throttle response is a bit better above 4k and cars pulls a bit better.....nothing earth shattering and I did not expect such anyways.
      Total costs w/all parts was under 500!........considering costs/sounds of aftermarket cat backs.......it was a good deal. In future I may play w/ mufflers/bullets to get a more aggressive sound. Feel free to ask any????

                    looks good, really low key. I bet that magnaflow will burn in a little bit and get louder.
