Probably talking about a dual muffler like the current M3. It has been done but the biggest issue is probably the spare tire well getting in the way.

yea you would need to split the 2 pipes way befor you would want to, the wheel well hangs down to low for anything to be under it.. It be alot of fabrication and welding on your behalf.

yea i did mean dual mufflers. But it would look sick with an mtech body kit.

It's been done, seems like sort of a waste of money to me

The dual exhausts Ive seen all look like crap in the winter. The way our cars are designed its quite impractical. The only setups Ive seen have a pipe split off at the end by the muffler and then ran behind the rear valence. Only it didnt really serve any purpose. In the winter all the exhaust fumes flowed out of the drivers side, making it look all goofy.

^he is exactly right. Whoever put the duels on the 325 did a shitty job cutting a hole in the rear valence thing too~ it looks like they did it with some metal shears or something. O well, to each his own.

The M3 has a single muffler, it's just marketing. Car makes more power with just two pipes, too.

What about running the exhaust out the side like the M3 GTR? Would that be useful or cool looking in any way or would it again be a waste of time/money?

actually two small straight through magnaflow mufflers with fit on both sides, without modification to the spare tire well. when i got my exhaust done not too long ago, the shop guy said it could be done no problem, but i didnt have double the money for it. and it wouldnt be too low like youd think.
