    Thoughts on my Muffler Plan

Last week while doing my subframe I removed my stock muffler and noticed a good bit of debris rattling around inside.
Money is tight now, and I would prefer to assemble/ install myself.
I have a new Ansa Sport intermediate pipe, my plan is mount that with

and then use this glasspack to hold me over
Free Shipping - MagnaFlow Y-Pipe Transitions with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Exhaust Pipes, Y-Pipes at Summit Racing.

    Any thoughts on this idea?
Any thing else I should consider? I do not know how to weld, so I would be using u joints to bolt it all together.
    Thanks
I love that people ask stupid questions so I dont have.

Unless you think you'r exhaust is too loud right now, why bother? It's not going to hurt anything if there is a bit of junk rattling around.

And if you are going for quieter, a glasspack probably won't do it. They are know for being loud. I would get a Dynomax Super Turbo. They are cheap, sound good and cut noise down quite a bit.

I was not concerned about the noise, i just thought that a muffler should not have a lit if lose debris rattling around.

Remove muffler, exhaust tip down, shake until your arms won't shake anymore, shotgun a beer, recheck muffler for crap in it, repeat as needed.

I agree with the guys. However on one of my cars the previous owner cut the old muffler off and put a glass pack on and it sounds surprisingly good and not as loud as i would of thought but its on a 71 240z
