Installed my new Remus exhaust today, but its misaligned...is there a way to adjust?

I noticed the rubber mounts that hold the Remus brackets didn't fit properly like the OEM bracket did...so had to cut a bit of the rubber so the rubber mounts would fit flush into the bracket. After it was reinstalled, the tips sat off to the left, and looks a bit rotated.

Are there aftermarket rubber mounts to accept aftermarket exhausts like the Remus or is there anything else I can do to adjust properly?

    Thanks in advance.

My 3.5" tips sat way to the left necessitating me cutting some of the valence.

Yeah it was Leaning bad to the left before we readjusted the rubber mount...then got it to sit where it wouldn't touch. Now it's a little crooked...but yeah I don't have the heart to cut the valence lol

Just ordered new rubber exhaust mounts throughout. Hopefully it will also help secure the exhaust in the proper place since the old ones were worn

Can anyone confirm which way this exhaust mount (on either side of the muffler) is supposed to be positioned? The way it's pictured or rotated 90degrees? The problem I had is the Remus brackets they supplied didn't fit over the thick portion of this mount....which was the way my stock one was positioned like in the pic below. Had to shave the thicker part of the rubber to get the remus mount to fit.

Hey buddy, the mount that you've noted above plus 90 degrees is the right way. You gotta put some lube or dishwasher soap on it in order to persuade it into the mount. Are the mounts factory looking? Can you take a picture of them?

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...71&hg=18&fg=20 - this shows proper orientation of mount.

Also, you may want to play with how you've bolted up the exhaust at the midpipe and force it to twist a more to the right.

I'll keep an eye on your thread for updates :)
