How much should it cost me to have a good muffler shop fab up a well fitting center section with reasonably priced cats or resonators and an X or H pipe for my e30 S52 swap?
I'm looking for something to connect my shorty headers to my e36 dinan cat back and be properly tucked so that it's not trying to scrape on every driveway and rut in town.
I'm assuming dual 2 inch pipes should suffice? Does it matter where the H/X pipe is placed? Is there a particular brand/model of resonator that will keep the noise down substantially if I choose to go catless?
I've seen a few vids and it seems like most of the catless systems with resonators (instead) are still pretty loud....after a handful of really loud cars over the years, I'm honestly over the noise. I like a good snarly howl when I'm really getting into it but I'd prefer to have it reasonably civil when at light throttle.
Any input would be appreciated fellas!
