    s50 with headers

    What are the known headers that will work with an s50 in an e30 with thr cabs and little fab work to the headers, if any.

    I bought a set from Turner Mo'Sport. The company that makes them for Turner does an e30s5X set of rear headers that will clear everything just fine. You just need to tell Kevin or Dave at Turner that you have an e30s5X, and they can make it happen. They're not cheap (at $900), but they look great, sound great, and even better, make some decent power. I got 10hp, and 15lb/ft from just the headers alone (dynoed before and after install), but I'm sure it's more now from the other exhaust work. You might see less power than mine if your motor is stock, as mine is completely built. Here are some shots of the headers/exhaust system on my car:

      I've done a bit of research on headers since I'm building a stroked M50 that should put out about 230whp. The general consensus seems to be that the tubular OBD2 manifolds are the way to go unless you spend big, big bucks.

          I was thinking about usiing the OBDII headers on my s50. So, to run the OBDII headers, I have to weld a couple openings shut, right? Other than that, it bolts right up? Does anybody have a pic of the OBDII headers?

            Yeah they bolt up fine... just have to weld somethings shut. When you have the header in your hands it is obvious what needs to be welded in order to have no leaks. I will try and find some pictures

              not a bad system, im impressed. what size is that diameter piping? seems a tad bit on the big side but i do like the X-pipe alot. I may be mistaken but is the whole system welded? if so what are you gonna do if you ever need to do work downthere? im hoping u dont plan on taking off headers each time.
