    Throaty or Deep smooth tone?

Just thrown on a flowmaster 40 series delta flow on my eta with resonated tips, i love how it really quiets it down but it lost the throatiness, concern if I put my non resonated tips back on and the volume of the sound shoots through the roof and im on straight pipes

what do you guys prefer on an E30? Throaty or Deep sound?

IMO, Flowmasters never sounded good on in line 6 cars. I have a magnaflow on my Eta and sounds pretty good, minus the huge hole in my exhuast. Being that you live in Cali makes it even harder. The only way to get a true deep throaty tone is to remove all of the restriction i.e. delete cat and install headers and move to a larger diameter exhaust piping.

Personally, I like a deep tone. Mine gets a little throaty in high revs, but that's it. During idle and normal driving, it's deep, and at a medium volume. It's perfect. <3 I don't know 100% what my exhaust is, though.. I bought it that way.

yeah figured, im running straight pipes with a 2.5inch all the way then the tips are heavily resonated, still kinda hear the throaty tone at certain RPMs

BTW the flowmaster was free so it was my chance to swap out the old dynomax super turbo for it since it went to crap with rust etc.

I have a full Magnaflow and I lose my shit over the sound. It's super deep. My only quarrel is that it drowns out ALL the bass in my stereo, even with a bazooka tube in the trunk. Oh well. I'd rather have the exhaust anyway.
