What kind of wire are you using.....if you say fluxcore.....TAKE IT TO A SHOP AND HAVE IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY.

If that welder is capable of gas shielding you'll need pure argon and solid SS wire to weld it.....

If you do not have those things I would price them out, then seriously look into what a shop would charge. If you don't plan on doing this a lot look at what you're putting your money into.

If you weld up a stainless exhaust with regular wire, it will rust apart at every weld.

Honestly, the only way IMO to properly weld stainless is with a TIG.

You asked if there's anything you should or shouldn't do... Well, you shouldn't weld stainless with a HF welder. Honest. Though, if you are determined, watch some youtube video's and have fun. Take your time and practice practice practice.

        ^^^

what he said. you want it done right, go to a shop or send it to my house, I'll tig it for ya. You asked what you could do with what you have, welding SS with SS wire sucks, and I'm assuming that you have a 110 welder too, it'll not work out well for you.

Give um cash under the table. We have a little shop south of town that'll do anything on a car as long as they don't have to put it in the books hahaha.

not to be a burden but why catless? you won't notice a difference with an m42 but you will hate the much louder odor. Cat's are well worth it in my opinion.
