Do you guys think I can get a muffler from a scrapyard? I need to put a muffler on my 87 325 to get it from a location which is about 4 hours from my house - I'm worried if I drive the car up without the muffler I'll get pulled over. Once I get it up here I will definitely be putting a new one and unfortunately none of the auto shops in that location carry any e30 mufflers and frankly I'm short on cash

idk how it works where you live but in pa a car this old doesnt need a working muffler or cat just something that looks like a cat or muffler i ran a setup on my E with just a cat and straight piped back from there too loud :P but yeah so here in pa youd be fine to drive it and your possibilty of finding a muffler at a junk yard i cant imagine would be high if your looking for something in pretty good condition. just my 2 centssigpic
