exhaust question

So I have been thinking about this muffler,

But it only has a single inlet, I assume people are just keeping the stock dual pipes then welding a Y on to convert it to single pipe then putting the muffler on from there. Any suggestions

I just did this last week with the same vibrant muffler and a magnaflow ypipe that is 2 inch dual inlets and 2.5 inch outlet. worked out fine. sounds great, no rasp assuming you still have your cat, quiet when cruising under 2.5k, but loud when you get on the throttle. sounds really good for the price, which was like 160 in parts, plus 50 in labor to weld. looks nice too.
