    Exhaust question

    I have a Pre-September 87 325is.

EDIT: I have a dual pipe.

I can't find a "is" specific exhaust. Does the exhaust for the 325i fit on the 325is?

I don't think so but I'm sure someone else with more knowledge will chime in soon.

      AFAIK:
E/es cars have single pipe exhaust from the cat back.

I/is cars have dual exhaust pipes all the way through.

It sounds like either your car is an es, not an is, or a po converted to a single pipe at some point.

Just went and got under the car. It's a dual exhaust. And the spots that I thought were rust holes were just the heat shield on the cat. My exhaust is intact and there is no rust under the car at all. Pretty amazing.

Yes the 325i and 325iS use the same exhaust system.

Thanks! Going to the salvage yard to check on parts from a 325i today. I will add exhaust to the list.
