    24v rasp help

So I'm looking to get rid of the rasp from my exhaust system. A little about the setup:

    M52 obd2
    Turner Motorsport headers
    Custom duel 2.25 piping maybe?
    Older e32 supersprint muffler

Sounds great with no rasp if I'm really easy on the pedal. As soon as I try to force a little bit too much exhaust thru it starts to have an annoying rasp/metalic noise. Sounds fantastic on the interstate tho.

I have the stock resonators from the donor e36 that I think I'll try welding in soon before buying anything. I also heard having an 'h' or 'x' pipe in the system helps with rasp but no experience with that. Possible that the muffler has just gone bad?

Thanks for any help in advance!

You might be hearing a lot of the rasp from the headers, generally steel tubing transmits way more noise than cast iron manifolds. I'm sure a resonator would help and if you're going to get in there and weld anyway, you may as well install an x-pipe for good measure.

You need an x-pipe to balance the harmonics.
