Exhaust swap

So last year I bought a VGC complete exhaust off a 325i. I was under the impression that it would bolt straight on to the 325e manifold but looks like I was wrong. Would the 325i manifold fit on the 325e head? As it looks as if I need another manifold. My 325e is 86 and exhaust came off 89 325i
