Because you knew it was going to a good home...and you needed the "garage" space.

Sorry it took me a couple of days to do the research. The Remus on my (and Todd's former) M Technic is part# RM087087 0506 at BavAuto. It retails there for $674.95. It is catback with "twin 90mm round tips." It does sound great and is centered in the valance opening perfectly, per Todd's pic in this thread. Hope this helps.

hey, thks for taking the time and looking it up. i ended up ordering from them late last week, but unfortunately it will only be shipped by the end of the month. i decided to go for the 76mm tips and it was even cheaper, 645 if i m not mistaken. their prices re the best i could find; other guys were asking from 730 to 840 shipped.

Damn, wish I saw this thread earlier... I got the Stromung on my MTechII. Had to have the bumper valance "modded". I had it cut and reshaped to fit the straight tips. I also had the tips extended about 2" so that they're just poking out of the valance.

          Here's the before shot.

          And the after shot.

^^^A lot of work, but it looks good to see those straight tips centered in the valance cut-out.

I'm probably going with the 76mm tips as well. Let us see how they turn out. Thanks.

Yeah it was. But I wanted straight tips; didn't like the angle ones.

Even after reading all of this, I'm still concerned about purchasing a remus exhaust. Why does it specifically specify on their website: "Rear silencer single exit with 2 90mm tips | Not for M-Tech Rear Skirt".

Has any one purchased this set up recently? If not, what exhausts do you guys recommend for an mt2 skirt? I was about to purchase a Stromung today, really happy I saw this.

i bought the remus, ended up selling the mtech2 rear apron so dont have a pic to show you, but i kinda tested placing the apron over my stock bumper and everything looked to be in place. also, before ordering i specifically asked bavauto guys whether it would fit and they said it does fit to any bumper/apron that is OEM from bmw which s the case of the mtech2. to be on the safe side i also preferred to order the smaller diameter tail pipes. hope it helps

                    m-tech II with Stromung

Here is a photo of my M-tech II with the Stromung exhaust set-up. I got an extra set of tips when I ordered the exhaust & modified them to fit the opening in the valance. I have had 5 strumong muffler setups on different BMW models & I am 100% sold on their sound.
