Stromung, Remus, Ansa, IE? WTF DO I DO?

Sup guys and gals, I got another question I need the communities help with.. This one is more opinion based. As you have probably guessed from the title, i can't execute a decision on a new exhaust setup. I have searched the world wide web for info, and watched just about every video on the net about these products, but i know in person they will be a bit different.
The car in question is a '91 Mtech II vert. It is not a track rat, and doesn't need anymore attention then it already receives.. But i do like a certain presence when I lean on my right foot... Lets pretend budget isn't a word..
I like throaty, maybe a tiny lil bit of babble, but not much louder then OEM

    Opinions very welcome, and needed..

    Thank ya

    Remus 100%.
I speak from experience, as I had one on my 92 mtech cab. It sounds amazing, but not loud. It would give a nice burble when letting off throttle.
I have a stromung on my m3, so not an m20, but it has gotten louder as its aged and put on the miles. I prefer the Remus.

Stromung or Remus. I love my Remus, It's generally pretty quiet for driving around, but great at WOT. The Stromung is apparently a bit deeper, but I think you'd like the Remus too.

Skip the Ansa, heard nothing good about them.

I loved my IE. Good sound, looked stock(which may benefit you in CA), good price. It is definitely louder than stock but it is fairly quiet as far as aftermarket exhausts are concerned, so it depends on how much "presence" you want.

Also try to stick with one section with your posts, you found the exhaust section, it should be pretty clear this is the right place for it. Also you may want to read through the other threads on this, there are plenty of them(and then you don't have to wait).

I just wish some of you spoke "sound" so we could discuss this stuff mathematically, it's so much easier. Peoples ears get fooled easily, if you aren't trained it is easy to mistake "loud" with "deep".

The Remus is significantly louder than stock, like around 5db, but it is also a full octave lower too, so it doesn't sound "louder', even though it is quite a bit louder. However, as the human ear becomes less sensitive at lower frequencies, it is harder to tell just how much louder it is. The thicker metal used in the can makes a huge difference, the Remus sounds very "muted". Most people say this is their favorite, it is very pleasing to most, and I suspect you would like it best.

The I.E./Ebay exhaust is also lower and louder. When new, it is barely noticeable in terms of "loud", but over a period of a couple years it will nearly double in volume. Personally, in terms of sound, I prefer this one when it is a couple thousand miles in. If I wanted a deep rumble, I would drive a domestic V8, not a European I6. This is less "deep" than the Remus but less so than the B&B. All in all, a great sound overall, but expect to start to notice the loudness gain after roughly 5,000 miles or even less.

The B&B "Tri-Flow" is also louder, but since it is the same frequencies, it is far more apparent that it is loud...but it is less of a gain in SPL than the Remus, even though the Remus seems quieter. Personally, this is my favorite exhaust on an I6...but if you aren't looking to be heard I would not recommend it. The sound is very aggressive and absolutely "shrieks", but combined with the ebay long tube headers, makes a very sexy song.

Like everyone else said, the Remus makes the most sense for your application.

              best of luck!

Oh yeah...if the Remus is too loud, the Eisenmann is incredible, but so is the price.

Would you consider having your exhaust pieced together?

I went with a Vibrant resonator and muffler with BavAuto long tubes upfront.

You may or may not have heard this thing around Santa Barbara lately.

If you want throaty go Stromung. Can be a bit loud at times but mine roars at WOT.
