I removed my exhaust to get to my driveshaft. One of the nuts on the collector flange had already been rounded off pretty bad, and was rusted really badly. I tried with a torch, penetrating fluid, and a rounded-bolt wrench but still couldn't get it to move. I ended up cutting off the bolt.
What is the best way to get the remainder of the bolt out of the manifold flange? I see it is spot-welded in place, and there really isn't good access to cut at the welds. Can I just drill it out? Are the welds weak enough I could hammer it out?
My ghetto-rigger buddy says just to run it with 3 of the 4 bolts holding it in place :curse:
