    Help on aligning exhaust

Hey everyone I'm new to this forum and the e30 life! On my car was a rubber hose about 3 inches long and that fell off and since then I've spent many hours trying to connect the pipes with no avail. I know now that before I try anymore I need to make the pipes closer than they are, as it tends to fall down a few inches and slide back about five or six. Does anyone have experience with drilling into the bottom of the car to install real exhaust hangers? Any better ways to make the pipe in a better position before clamping than drilling and putting in nice exhaust
hangers/clamps? Under my car there aren't many, if any good places to clamp the exhaust in any solid way right now so that's why I'm wondering if I can add some nice hardware, with a drill and some screws. All input is appreciated greatly! I've been at it for a few days with clamps and exhaust tape but I know that those won't work until I align the pipe.

Yes please, listen to the guy above me. There should not be any rubber hoses in the middle of your exhaust.

What will they do to it? How much will it cost? Less than 50$?

Thank you for the FWIW. I'm going to call today to get a quote. I think it's worth bringing it in for this because it's one thing I don't have the tools and skill to do. +1

YES I love this car even though I've only been able to drive it for real for about an hour. It's very low and handles beautifully and the sound is just amazing when everything is connected

It's one of those metal clamp things and yea that's why I'm curious about hangers but I am going to differ to a welder so I don't drill into something bad and ruin the car.

Come on guys. You don't remember your first car. Let OP be excited on his first ride.

OP congratulation on your first repair, but I recommend for you to have it repair professionally when you can.
