Exhaust tips advice needed for m42 Mtech II

I need some advice on fitting my a single tip Stromung exhaust to my 318i (m42) m-technic rear valance. If you've seen this thread, you know that the Stromung's dual tips don't center in the mtech valance exhaust opening. It ends up looking like this:

My fitment problem is even worse because the m42 Stromung only has one 89mm tip like this:

If I install it as intended (pointing straight out), it wouldn't be centered (too far toward the center of the car), and the tip would look too small for the valance opening that is meant for dual tips.

So I opted to buy mine without the exhaust tip welded on and try to figure out the best solution with the help of r3v ;D

I kind of want to keep it single tip and slanted toward the drivers side of the car like m42s are meant to be. It would look something like this

    Thoughts?

Other options would involve using a generic Y-type exhaust tip , to make it look like a dual exhaust and fill out the valance opening more.

I would definitely do the Y'd dual tip. It will look much better!

Vibrants mufflers are on the louder side though.

If you've got a muffler already just get the y-pipe dual tip dealio!

The Stromung is already installed, so now it's just a matter of what to do about the tip(s). I though the generic tips would be jank, but I actually like the Y tips pictured above, maybe because they are rolled and oval. The long shot would be to find an 318iS M-tech rear valance, which has the smaller cut-out, then I could stay true to the m42 single tip styling and keep the Stromung labeling.

Hopefully, I can figure something out soon. Am I wrong to think that the exhaust will sound better once I have a tip on there?

Nice! Did you buy it when they had a group buy a while back? How do you like the sound, always wondering what a 4 banger would sound like with one of their systems.

The tip will have an affect on the sound. The rolled walls would probably make it sound better than just a regular tip.

I have something similar, rolled and 2.5" inlet.

            $55 shipped if you're interested.

Thanks! But I'm leaning toward the oval tips, or staying single tip. I like the sound, but I'm holding off on judgement until I have tips on it.

I ended up buying the single-to-dual exhaust tips that dude8383 offered. I'm glad I did.
