Need a Y-pipe for potential MF 14815

I'm looking to buy a Magnaflow 14815 muffler for my 1987 325is. It's 2.25" single in, dual 3" tips. I've read that the stock E30 pipe in the cat-back is 1.75". I'm having a lot of trouble finding a Y-pipe that does that transition, and has the dual pipes really close together like they are on the E30. Help?

As far as I know, a Y like that doesn't exist. The options are to have a shop custom make one (I was quoted $100 just to make a Y) OR you can get 2 reducers to bring the 1.75's up to 2" or 2.25" each, and then find a Y to buy for that.

Or if you or a friend have a welder you can make your own. It's not too difficult to make.
