    best replacement muffler?

    all,
i have to replace the muffler... 1990 e30 325i sedan.

please recommend the best one for the job.

while i have never replaced it in the 15 years i have had it... it sounds kinda throaty now as its rusted to shit....

which muffler will give me a little throat at the same time not sounding like an amateur honda civic teenager.

or should i just go with the oem?

    thanks in advance.

    peter

This will be basically stock, but is stainless-ish and very inexpensive. I've got two of them. Hard to beat for the price. People say that these are the same as the ones that Ireland sells, but I have no way of verifying.

If you scroll down, it does say it fits the 325i in the table under the description tab.

There is no difference in muffler fitment between any 325i variant. Even the iX uses the same muffler (but a different mid pipe).

I had Ireland Eng for years. Pretty happy with the sound of it.

It was used on my daily w/headers and it wasn't bad at all.
