    Opinions on exhaust pelase

I need to change my exhaust. I still hve the original and at 101K, it's starting to sound really loud to my ears especially in a cabrio. I like the stock look but would like to get something that will last me a while, quiet and as plug and play as possible. My choices that I know of are stock BMW at around $325, Ansa at around $200 and then IE with is $325+. Please give me you opinions on the pros and cons of the Ansa and IE over stock BMW from personal experience that I should consider before purchasing. I'd like to get this thing resolved and replaced by next weekend :???:
    Thank you in advance.

If you like quiet, then Supersprint is a great choice. I just installed mine, and it's not much if any louder than stock. Yet, it does produce a nice tone at WOT, just not that YOU will hear it from the driver's seat. They are not cheap, but I think they are worth it.

Didnt mean to beat a dead horse but this is the exhaust forum.

Thanks RC. I am thinking just going back stock with the eberspacher, but just seems too boring.

A little guidance is all I asked for. As a NooB, one can spend hours going through older posts which often lead to more confusion than a simple answer.

That's why we suggest using the search button. Check for exhaust.wav files.

If you want quiet, don't get the Ansa. I have it in one of my 325's and regret getting it. I put on a Bolso catback on my Mtech and am very happy with it. Spend the extra money and get Bolso if you can get it, or get stock. You'll be happy you did.

I installed an Eberspacher on my car a few nights ago, it wasn't so plug and play due to the fact that the pipes were a little twisted but it's all in and sounds nice and quiet. I just need to paint it black with high heat sprey and I'm good to go. pretty straight forward DIY.
                  I paid 199 + 36 for mounting hardware.

thank you all for your help.

I have a remus cat back. It was fairly expensive but it is not too obnoxious sounding. I just can't believe these little systems are as expensive as the 4 inch system for my diesel truck.

Hey Sean, sorry I did not see your request earlier, I replaced my exhaust around the same time. I went with an ANSA and I'm not crazy about it but I guess now I'm stuck with it. I like your car it's sharp, what suspension are you running? That is my next project.

                      Thanks
