    Bosal catback exhaust?

I need a new catback for my 86 325es. Anybody ever tried the bosal?
How does it compare to the Ansa or Eberspacher?
I have about $300 to spend, any other ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Bosal is an exact copy of the OE Eberspacher one. It won't last as long but it's a decent exhaust.

It's leaps and bounds better than Ansa.

I just installed an Eberspacher on my car last night, it wasn't so plug and play due to the fact that the pipes were a little twisted but it's all in and sounds nice and quiet. I just need to paint it black with high heat sprey and I'm good to go. pretty straight forward DIY.
      I paid 199 + 36 for mounting hardware.

Why are you going to paint it?

original was black, this one is silver/sheetmetal like. I like the all balck, it hides allot more, just a personal taste.

Best price I have found for Eberspacher is $245. Where did you find one for $199?

BMA parts, 818-240-1223 (bmaparts.com), talk to Yve or Patrick. The installation hardware is in a separate box for $36

just a word of advice, soak up the 4 bolts at the flanges with WD40 well before stripping the nuts. Later use WD40 allot to remove the sleeve from the one tip of the catalytic converter. You need to replace that also, it's a PITA to remove but you have to work it and it will slide off eventually. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. Best of luck.

Thanks for all the help. I have already invested in 4 cans of pb blaster as I have had better results than wd-40 in the past. I will definately soak them good hours before removing.
Also, on bma.com they list the eberspacher catback for $245. Do you get a discount for calling over the phone or is there another type of discount?

just call them up, they will give you a better price on the phone. also if you want, mention that I bought one from them yesterday, i'm sure they will not have any problem with that.
