    325is exhaust on a 325e?

i need a new exhaust pretty bad, and i plan on putting the 325is exhaust on my 325e, my question is do i need the whole pre-cat setup from the IS including headers or can i simply use a Y pipe to fit the dual exhast pipes? even so, would i be better of changing the whole setup, and will the IS headers fit correctly?

if you dont take the headers off then you can put a IS stock exhauston an E. i put a 1987 325is exhaust on my 1987 325 from the headers down and it worked fine!

You need the "i" manifolds aswell.
