    Pacesetter cat-back?

Didn't find anything searching, the thing that worries me is that they list them fitting all model e30s and i know the e and i exhaust aren't even close to the same.

A little info would be nice, they're selling for around $200 shipped on eBay.

I have pacesetter LT headers on my firebird and they are very nice. and i had a set of shortys on my 88 dakota with a 318 in it and they were nice pieces too. My dad has a monza-pacesetter muffler on his colt from a pacesetter cat back off of a honda it has a muffled sound to it, not to loud and not to quiet. When my buddy put the pacesetter cat back on his honda he had no proplem with it fitting, but that was a run of the mill honda. I would call the company that sells the cat back and see what they say about the system. If the cat backs are as good as the headers they sell, I can't see where they are junk.

I tried contacting a seller of the product and he's like "I don't know". :|

I'd like to see a picture of the flange to see how it's possible to fit both cars, my understanding is it's a single 2" pipe.

Kinda brainstorming before a decision, my likely final decision will be an exhaust shop dual 2" system with glasspacks.

A product that's prices are below competetors doesn't mean it's junk people, get some real experience with a product before spreading information, that's why sooooo many companies like Pacesetter and SSAutoChrome have a bad reputation, people without experience spread false information.

I went to a local exhaust shop and got a 2 1/4" duels put on my e with glasspacks and no cats. Plus i have a IE LT header on it. I too wish people would stop putting down stuff that they more then likly have had no experiance with. When i put LT headers on my firebird, people said that pacesetters was junk and to get hookers. But i got the pacesetters and could not be happier.

well it has been a few years since i have put pacesetter exhaust on anything, mainly since i have had bad experience with them, but i will tell you the problems that i had with them. most of the experences that i have had was with vw's and hondas, and toyota trucks and here were the problems i found:
                    * poor fit at the head flanges on the headers- nothing that couldn't be cured by opening up the bolt holes, but it had to be done on every hole!
                    * thin gauge tubing used was prone to cracking at stress points and at the weld joints.
                    * thin flanges were prone to warping. some of this can be blamed on owners overtightening the flanges as leaks occour insted of investigating the problem and properly fixing the leak. this seemed to happen more than i thought it should even when it was properly installed and not overtightened
                    * lots of pin hole leaks in the welds. althought they were good looking welds they all seemed to have leaks that required me going back and rewelding them....ok for me with own welder and the skill, but for joe street racer kid puttin it on in his parents driveway, not a good deal!
                    * routing clearence issues usually around the rear axles. could be overcome with some heat, hammereing, and bending, but again bad deal for the kid doing it at home. especially when he is supposed to be buying a preengineered kit for his car that should pretty much "bolt-on"
there, not just jumping on the "bandwagon", but from my personal experence. i haven't done any in a while for the reasons of my personal experences with their products. maybe they have gotten better since then and gotten the quality control in order since then, i don't know, but from my past experences i would steer clear.
