Intro & a question (IE or Scorpion)

Nice place you guys have here, I found it while I was searching info on SS exhausts for one of my E30's ('86 325i). I'm debating between the IE or the Scorpion (both similar prices), any opinions/suggestions?

    TIA.

My main concern are about how do they compare in quality, fitment & sound.

      Thanks again.

Any particular reason why you would choose the IE over the Scorpion?

For what it's worth, I had a Scorpion full exhaust on my Golf VR6, and it sounded incredible, fit perfect and seemed likely to last forever. It was already a couple years used when I got it, and is still in great condition after 8 years.

Not sure how they sound on E30s, though, but I'd definitely give them a go again.

I just installed the Scorpian exhaust on my 88 325is and it fit OK as long as I used the Ansa pipes to connect it to the cat. The Scoprion pipes must be designed for the Euro model as they were not long enough. I did have to open up the slip joint ends a little to get them to go farther onto the Ansa pipes but I had an exhaust pipe spreader so no big deal. Haven't driven the car yet, but strted it up and it sounds OK. The tips are a big long but other than that it looks good. Bavarian Auto has the Scorpion on sale right now.

The IE exhaust sounds all but stock. It fit realitively well(not oem but great for aftermarket).
                Search does wonders.
