    cat question

I have a question about a new catalytic converter for my '90 IS. I want to get rid of my stock cat and center muffler combo but i dont know exactly how to go about doing it. Should i try to find a cat with a dual in dual out design (if there even is one) or how should i do this. What I would like to do is get the new cat and just pipe it back to my muffler.
also my muffler right now is a single inlet so when I installed it we had to make a "Y" pipe in order for it to fit. So another question would be, could I by chance buy a cat with a dual inlet and single outlet and run new 2.25-2.5" piping back to the single inlet muffler?

any solutions or suggestions would help

    thanks

Souldn't be. But i don't know what the stock size pipe is on a "i". I got full 2.25" on my e so i think a i could handle it.

yeah but the I's and IS's have dual piping from the exhaust manifolds through the cat and center muffler and to the stock muffler. i dont know the exact size of the stock exaust but i dont think its any bigger than 2"
