I'm missing an exhaust manifold stud at the collector...

What do you guys recommend I do? Should I get another stud and reinstall it? If so, how do I install it and keep it from coming out again? Should I get a bolt and just bolt it up? if so, what size/thread pitch do I need? I was thinking about just looking for another set of exhaust manifolds (I've heard they're super cheap for a pair, $25?), since if I did that I could throw them in the media cabinet then hit em with some manifold paint. That'd really clean up the engine bay, considering the stock ones always rust. What do you guys recommend?

Don't worry about it. My eta went 30k miles (in my ownership, who knows how long the po had it like this) with one nut no holding down the stud. No harm, no foul.

Using a bolt would be fine.

I wish I was as lucky as you. We just resealed it and again it's leaking, I believe from where the stud is missing.

MR 325: Any idea what size and thread pitch would work?

Autohausaz.com has brand spanking new ones. Link may not work.

I'm pretty happy to say I think my combination of POR and Glossy Engine Enamel may be holding up and keeping mine black. (Obviously were off the engine and I went to town over a few days) I'll know tommorrow when I put the exhaust on.

Ah thanks a lot for that link. I'll probably just use a bolt, but now I know the size and pitch.
