    Exhaust replacement

OK, here is another question, I have my stock exhaust, and I have two "cans", one roughly in the middle of the car and one at the rear, I would like to replace the one in the rear with a better flowing one, or should i replace both ?

The point is that since I have an M10 i guess that a less restrictive exhaust would give me "better" performance, plus a better sound.

What do you guys advice, replace the whole thing or replace the rear one, also i would need to know which of those is the actual muffler.

    P.S. I searched before asking ;)

save the collector and hack it from there back, i would say turbo muffler and high flow cat if you care about the earth.
who knows how loud you want it though.

EDIT - here is an answer to Fanzotti, but he seems to have deleted his post.

Thanks for asking, it's great, I had to resand a fender and a door because i did it with a "too small" sanding block, I prepped the whole car, except the driver side fender (the internal support is a bit bent inwards, so i will not tackle that one until I get that straightened by a pro (it just does not align with the hood, it's just 1/4 of an inch, but it looks like shit).

I also found a rusthole on the sunroof, but fixable.

Things like this happen, but as you said, "when looking to get it perfect".

I guess i'll be spraying around the 10th next month, so far I have found very little rust in the rest of the body (all has been sanded out), I am abit worried about the antenna hole, but i might choose to delete it before painting.

Well, I'd like all of you to know that if Fanzotti hadn't helped with advice, my car would have been sprayed last month and ended looking like shit, after your info i found a lot of things that were done wrong, so i had to redo them.

Regarding the exhaust, since the car is not running and i have to get my emmision test in august i might replace the exhaust now to get there with a new one.

BTW. - My car never had a cat, and it's carbed, but i might add one if it doesn't harm performance a lot, and if my engine will not destroy it in 5000 miles, any thoughts on that ?;)
