    exhaust tips for stromung catback

    hey there-

wanted to get a couple of nice tips for my stromung (which has 3" tips that are angled up) and thought I'd ask for opinions...if anyone has any pics of tips that look nice on this setup, please attach them. There's a rather noticeable ding on the left tip, so I wanted to cover it up. Any input is greatly appreciated. check out the pics to get an idea of what I'm working with

why dont you just cut off the angled part, and get the damn thing re-polished. ta-da, good as new.

And then re-weld it back on? that seems reasonable, but wouldn't that potentially cost as much as a set of tips?

no. just cut off the tip where it angles up. then you will be left with 2 straght tips. polish. done.

So straights look better than angled tips I take it? What do you typically use to polish stainless steel?

This particular stromung is supposed to be a direct bolt-on fit for the E30, but I noticed the tips are angled to the right instead of the left (like stock), so I'm afraid that it won't line up right with the cut out on the rear m-tech 1 valence. Of course I didn't think this would be an issue when I first bought the exhaust, but now I'm wondering if it will be. Any thoughts?

so I did some measurements and these tips aren't going to fit well under the rear valence exhaust cut out due to them being angled to the right instead of the left. Given this, what can I do? Cut them off altogether and weld different tips on there? If so, can anyone recommend where to buy new tips and what to buy? Would I be able to bend the existing tips the other direction? I don't have any experience bending or welding pipes, so pardon my noobness.
